Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, combine butter and cream cheese with a hand mixer until well combined and free of lumps.
Add vanilla extract (and salt if needed) and stir to combine.
Gradually add powdered sugar and use the mixer to stir until smooth.
Notes
If your frosting seems too thick for spreading on your bread, feel free to add 2 to 4 tablespoons milk and mix until smooth. Don’t feel obligated to use all of the cream cheese frosting, if any. You can save time (and calories) by whisking 1 cup powdered sugar with 1/4 cup milk and a dash of vanilla to create a simple drizzle.
